A new Cadillac DPi-V.R in 2019
You’ve probably seen it without knowing it: the Cadillac DPI-V.R has been part of the IndyCar series for many years.

However, in a Press Release on the Juncos Racing website, the Team announced an entry with the Cadillac DPi-V.R in 2019. Delivery of the new Cadillac DPi-V.R is expected at the beginning of November with the first rollout anticipated for early December. The first appearance of the prototype will be at Roar Before the Rolex 24, with the official test session held from January 4-6 as a preamble for the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 26-27).

A successful team

Team manager Ricardo Juncos is convinced that the expansion of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Cadillac is a step forward for the entire Juncos Racing program. Juncos Racing has recorded 58 wins and 9 championships in the last 10 years.

On the other hand, Laura Wontrop Klauser, head of the Cadillac Racing program, states that the arrival of Juncos Racing brings more high level talent and excitement to the IMSA grid.

2019 Cadillac DPi-V.R redesign and specifications

The latest selection switch completes the prototype process for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar competition and promotes modified policies for this collection. One of the necessary changes might be the simple fact that IMSA now allows car manufacturers to construct their designs, implying that the prototypes will probably assume their identity.

The 2019 Cadillac DPi-V.R is almost as good as the other IMSA prototypes. The competition car has a connected and demanding cockpit and the vital fin that extends from the roof scoop, and has taken a major step forward in terms of the wings and diffusers of the other IMSA and Le Mans prototypes.

The 2019 Cadillac DPi-V.R engine

Under this large, wide hood, the Cadillac's 6.2 liter V8 engine features a large fin. Naturally, some internal components have been switched out for competitive components providing greater reliability, even though the powertrain provides the undergirding using the V-8 found in the CTS-V and Escalade sedans.

All that’s left is to hear its engine roar.
